Praise and Prayer for:
Praise God for the financial gifts from our congregation that made it possible to make food hampers for those in our estate who will have very little this Christmas.
Give thanks for the 40+ men who attended our ‘Men’s Night’ Christmas Dinner and for the opportunities to chat and share with the men who came.
Please pray for our Community Carol Services next Sunday, both morning and evening.
David Boyd, Irish Mission Worker - Dublin
Pray for:
Please pray for our annual Community Carol Service which will be held in Adelaide Road on Friday 16 December. This is mainly attended by parents of the children in our Sunflower crèche, with some other folk from the local community as well as the congregation. We would usually have around 70 people and for many of them it might be the only chance they will have for some gospel contact over the Christmas period.
Please pray that God will guide our planning and help us to be creative so that what we do on the day might grab people’s imaginations and make them want to know more.
Tom Dowling, Irish Mission Worker - Kilkenny
Pray for:
Please pray for the children who come to Millennium Court Club.
Opportunities for follow-up of those who came to Christianity Explored.
Pray for door-to-door visitation.
Jonathan Reid, Community Evangelist - Ahoghill
Prayer and Praise for:
The Brooke Café on Friday mornings continues to be well-attended. It is a joy to see little signs of God working in hearts.
Please pray that the desire for drink and drugs will be broken in lives and that hearts will be changed by God’s grace. It is sad to see marriages and family life destroyed by addiction. Unemployment and resulting poverty is rearing its ugly head, and no doubt will get worse.
It has been a joy for us to teach the new ‘First For Kids Good News Club’, along with Trevor Gilmer from the church. Longstone Primary School has 42 children and they all attend the club from 1.30–2.00 pm every Tuesday. They listen intently and are eager to answer questions and learn the Ten Commandments as we look at the life of Moses.
Billy Patterson, Irish Mission Worker – Drogheda
Praise and Prayer for:
Give thanks for the mission in Vinecash. There were good numbers there every night. Six people professed faith at the mission. Thank you for all the prayers.
The Hotel Bible Study continues with good interest; do keep it in prayer. It will finish for the year on Wednesday 14 December, and recommence again in January.
Continue to pray for the door-to-door visitation.
Rhonda Glass and Karen Burns – Westport
Pray for:
Our annual church Carol service on Sunday evening, 18 December. Many unbelievers will be invited. Pray that the Lord will speak to many through His word.
Pray that God will use the evangelistic calendars being distributed in December, and that many will hear the Gospel.
DEACONESSES
Gardenmore Presbyterian Church, Larne – Margaret Robertson
Pray for:
The Candlelight Carol service in church on Sunday evening, 18 December.
