Drumkeeran, Killeshandra, Cavan & Bellasis Presbyterian Churches – Revd Jean Mackarel
Praise and Prayer for:
Praise the Lord for the joy of the annual Harvest Thanksgiving services in each of the churches in the Cavan Group; the united church choir’s amazing work; and for the refreshing messages from God’s Word brought by guest speakers.
Attendance this year excelled. Give thanks for the hospitality shared afterwards among all who attended.
Pray for the new communicants coming forward in November; who have been welcomed by the elders in interview in October after an intensive, challenging, enlightening and enjoyable preparation course with their minister.
Pray for continued attendance at Bible Study by these wonderful young people, that they may grow in the Lord and mature in faith; and retain the link with their church fellowship.
South Belfast Outreach – Keith Preston and Michael Sentance
Praise and Prayer for:
Through the work of the Drop-in at Ulsterville a number of people from different countries and from other faith backgrounds have recently trusted Christ. Praise God that these new converts are attending church.
Pray for Keith and Michael who are leading a new discipleship Bible study for new converts.
Pray for others who haven’t come to faith but who are reading the Bible and attending church.
Pray for Keith, Michael and the volunteers who give of their time to work in the drop-in and lead English classes.
Drogheda – Billy Patterson
Pray for:
A mission that Billy will be conducting in Vinecash Presbyterian Church from Saturday 5 November – Sunday 13 November.
Continue to pray for the Hotel Bible Study and for the door-to-door outreach visitation.
Revd John Woodside, who has started a Christianity Explored course in Drogheda Presbyterian church. Pray that it will draw people in from the community.
Athy and Carlow – William Workman
Pray for:
The bookstall in Athy market on Tuesday; that the Lord will give me opportunities to share the Gospel.
The Youth Club on Wednesday evenings has just started again and needs new members.
The Bible study on Thursday evenings. This is a follow on from an Alpha course. Pray that people will clearly understand what it means to be a Christian and put their faith and trust in Christ.
Praise for:
Praise God for the summer outreach. Helpers from America, Northern Ireland and locally, worked well together to reach out with the Good News of the Gospel in Carlow and Athy during July. The Holiday Bible Clubs, teenage meetings, adult meetings and street outreach went well, with good numbers at most events.
Mullingar Presbyterian Church – Revd Stephen Lockington
Praise for:
Give thanks that planning permission has been granted for Mullingar Presbyterian’s new church-build.
Maynooth Community Church – Revd Keith McCrory and Kevin Hargaden
Pray for:
The election of the new elders this month (November); that God will lead us as we seek to expand the leadership team of our congregation.
Pray for the continuing quest to find land and /or a new facility in which to meet for worship.
Donabate Church Plant – Revd Andy Carroll
Pray for:
The group providing support for Andy Carroll in the new church plant in Donabate, meeting on 10 November.
DEACONESSES
Student Deaconesses
Pray for:
The student deaconesses meeting with BMI and PW on 11 November to talk about practical aspects of their probationary year of service.
South Belfast Friendship House – Jenny Robinson
Praise for:
Give thanks for Natalie Johnston settling in as Youth and Children’s Worker in Friendship House.
New volunteers in our activities.
Offers of much needed help for the extremely busy Christmas programme.
Pray for:
Pray for the on-going outreach of Friendship House.
