HOME & IRISH MISSION
Douglas Presbyterian Church – Revd David Reid
Pray for:
A mission we are holding from 23 – 30 October, and for the speaker Revd Drew Moore.
Pray for door-to-door visitation that took place before the mission; and especially that people from the congregation will attend.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to needy souls in the area.
URBAN MISSION
Strand Presbyterian Church – Revd Danny Rankin
Praise and Prayer for:
Give thanks for God’s blessing as we continue to be church in Sydenham from three different sites. It would have been impossible without our Christian friends from the other churches.
Pray that the building will progress steadily; we are hoping to choose a construction company before Christmas.
Pray we will continue to grow and develop during this time of meeting in three sites. The temptation is always to try and hold on to what we have. This is not an option for us.
Kilkenny – Tom Dowling, Irish Mission Worker
Pray for:
Some time ago the local Jehovah’s Witnesses applied for planning permission for a Kingdom Hall in Rath Ullord. This is the same area in Kilkenny in which Tom lives. There were objections, but recently we heard that their application had been approved. Please pray that it won’t go ahead. Among other reasons it will lead to confusion in people’s minds if I am inviting people to a Bible Study in Rath Ullord and they are too.
Dun Laoghaire Presbyterian Church – Richie Cronin, Community Evangelist

Pray for some conversions amongst the people we have been witnessing to.
Athy and Carlow – William Workman, Irish Mission Worker
Pray for:
Pray for plans for follow up meetings for those who attended the Alpha course in Athy.
Pray for the preparation for Athy mission which is from 13 – 18 November 2011.
Westport – Karen Glass and Rhonda Burns
Pray for:
Please pray for the two new evangelistic Bible studies which have commenced.
Pray that God would speak through His word and bring repentance and faith in Christ to those who attend.

Praise and Prayer for:
Thank God for our Friendship Circle which has been a vehicle of outreach into the community on our doorstep; offering friendship, fellowship and crafts.
Pray that our number will grow.
Pray that our advertising will reach those who would benefit from the warmth of the friendship.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Gardenmore Presbyterian Church, Larne
Pray for:
A Christianity Explored Course at Rathmore House, BB HQ, 126 Glenarm Road, Larne, BT40 1DZ.
It will run on Thursday evenings for seven weeks from 6 October, from 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm.
