BOARD OF MISSION IN IRELAND
HOME & IRISH MISSION
Sligo and Boyle Presbyterian Churches – Revd Alan Mitchell
Praise and Prayer for:
Sunday 18 September was a very special day in the life of our congregation as, for the first time, we brought Sunday School teachers, children and parents all together for a service which focused on the Sunday School and included a prayer of dedication for our teachers and helpers as they begin another winter’s work.
We give God thanks for the deep spiritual impact the service had on all present and the presentation by three of our teachers that touched everyone. It was a joyous service that continued over tea and coffee in the church hall afterwards.
Pray for the thousands of students that attend our Institute of Technology. We hosted a special evening for approximately 75 European and Far Eastern students, and during the past few Sundays we have had a number coming to our morning service.
Please pray that we will be able to expand our work and witness among both Irish and overseas students.
Next Sunday (25 September) we would appreciate your prayers as we address the subject of the Ministry of Healing. We trust that out of this will come a regular meeting or service for prayer, not just for our members but for the community.

Dublin – David Boyd
Pray for:
Now that summer is over and the new term is started we are planning to get our Gospel Community up and running properly. However, we are all too aware that the project will stand or fall on the quality of the community we create.
We also realise that community just doesn’t happen overnight, so we would love you to pray for us over the weeks and months ahead so that we might forge our Gospel Community into something which will become a beacon of hope to those around us who, as yet, don’t know Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
