HOME & IRISH MISSION

Arklow Presbyterian Church – Revd Michael Anderson & Philip Whelton

Praise for:

Give thanks for the commencement and progress of the building work.

Over 200 kids coming to our Holiday Club from 1 – 5 August.

The teams of helpers for the holiday club coming from Ireland and America.

Pray for:

The safety and logistics of the holiday club, which is being held in a local girls school while our building work is being done.

The builders Noel and Kevin and their team. For wisdom, strength and safety in all aspects of the work. 

1^st Bailieborough, Corraneary & Trinity, and Bailieborough Presbyterian Churches – Revd Sam Anketell

Praise for:

The very successful Gospel musical ‘Rock’, about the life of Simon Peter and conducted by the composer Roger Jones and Christian Ministries, Birmingham.

Also the very well attended home meetings held in conjunction with this outreach.

Pray for:

Please pray for ongoing recovery from two recent surgeries, and planning for outreach in November.

Rathmullan Presbyterian Church – Revd Janice Browne

Praise and Prayer for:

Give thanks that baby James has now completed his chemotherapy at the Children’s Hospital Crumlin, and has come through the treatment very well.

Please pray for the scans and tests baby James will now go through in August to see how effective the treatment has been.

Pray too for his parents as they await these test results.

Trinity Presbyterian Church Cork – Revd John Faris

Prayer and Praise for:

We give thanks as we look forward to a team from Trinity Presbyterian Church Bangor who will be running outreach in Cork from Monday 25 – Friday 29 July.

Malin and Carndonagh Presbyterian Churches – Vacancy Convener Revd Joe Fell

Malin are providing lunches in the Church halls every Saturday during July and August. A bookstall and other Christian literature will be available for distribution.

Pray for:

Pray for Malin as they plan for their 300^th Anniversary Service on 4 September at 7.00 pm.

Pray for the person God has chosen to minister in the congregations after the ‘Deferred Linkage Scheme’ of the General Assembly comes to its conclusion

Karen Glass and Rhonda Burns - Westport

Praise and Prayer for:

We are delighted to tell you that our bid has been accepted for the church building. This is subject to planning permission; which will probably take at least five months. A lot of work will need to be done to the building to transform it into a meeting place. Please keep praying for this whole project.

We have a new worker on the team. Cormac Walsh, from Co. Kerry, will be working with us for the next two years. Pray for Cormac as he settles in.

Pray for two new Bible studies begun with two young men: Martin and Mick. Both of them have many problems. Pray for conviction of sin and true conversions.

DEACONESSES

Elizabeth Matthews – Elmwood Presbyterian Church

Praise and Prayer for:

Give thanks for the number of young people going on overseas trips this summer. Pray that they will be effective in their witness and that they will be an encouragement to all those they visit.

Thank God for those who have chosen to stay at home to be involved in the Holiday Bible Club, to be held during the first week in August in the local primary school.

Pray for the team as they meet to prepare and pray for the club.

Pray that God will be at work preparing the hearts of those who attend. Children will come in the mornings and teens in the evenings.

Pray for all those taking part; that their own lives will radiate Christ and that they will be blessed as well as being a blessing.
